Professor of International Management Economics, Head of Economics, Cranfield School of Management
Joe Nellis joined the Cranfield School of Management faculty in 1984 and was appointed to the School's first Chair in International Management Economics in 1993.
He has more than twenty years experience teaching and consulting in the areas of economics, business environment and corporate strategy. He was Director of the School's Full-Time MBA Programme from 1989 to 1993 and was appointed to the School's first Chair in International Management Economics in 1993. In 1994, he established the Economics Group and from 1999 to 2003 he was Deputy Director of the School, with responsibility for all graduate programmes.
In 2003 he was made Dean of the Faculty of Management. He sits on the School’s Executive Board and is Chairman of the Faculty Board. He has published 13 books and over 200 business and academic journal articles.
His research encompasses analysis of trends and future developments in the changing world in terms of the role of government and the impact of technology, consumer behaviour, and political uncertainty, societal and demographic movements.
Joe Nellis is a frequent contributor to a wide range of national and international conferences and is a training consultant to a large number of UK and international companies specialising in the areas of economic and business environmental analysis as well as strategy formulation. |
