An extraordinary speaker experience
Jan Söderqvist is a media man with an exceptionally wide experience. He is one of the most interesting and all-round educated speakers in Scandinavia – maybe even in Europe. He holds a bachelor in literature from University of Stockholm and his working experience spans from a career as author to editor and TV/Radio producer for SvT. Currently Jan Söderqvist is an active film critic for the Swedish newspaper, “Svenska Dagbladet”, and feature writer in “the Swedish Financial Times”. Before this he was editor of “Computer Sweden”, editor of “Allt om Böcker” (The leading literature magazine in Sweden) and of ”Moderna Tider” (Leading Swedish magazine within politics and economy).
But it was not enough for Jan Jan Söderqvist to edit other media, so he became co-founder of ”Dolly” – a bold magazine initiative, occupied with issues of the new economy, the new biology, etc. In addition, he has published the much discussed book ”The Netocrats” in collaboration with Alexander Bard, merging Nietzsche and Darwin with French post structuralism and cybernetics (science on communication and automatic control systems). The book was on the Swedish best-seller list for four consecutive months and was published in English in 2001.
With his interesting background and experiences it is clearly evident that Jan Söderqvist is in high demand as a speaker, and he is one of the most popular in the Nordic countries. His opinions are clear and often controversial, and his audience experiences him as the skilled media man he is – with strong abilities to communicate and mobilize his messages with all means available. He delivers his messages with power and commitment and allows the listeners to benefit from and utilize these in their everyday life.
