Richard Reeves is a business writer, speaker and consultant. He is the author of the much-publicised Happy Mondays - putting the pleasure back into work, which calls for revolutionary re-evaluation of modern working life. He is a first-choice speaker and commentator on a wide range of current issues. Described by The Guardian as 'Britain's leading expert on workplace trends', Richard has worked most recently as both Director of Consultancy and Director of Futures at The Work-Group (formerly The Industrial Society), leading the organisation's thinking on work and organisational change.
 
Richard has also pursued a successful career as a national newspaper journalist and columnist, both in London and Washington DC and is a former Young Financial Journalist of the Year. He writes regularly for Management Today, The Observer, New Statesman, The Guardian and other publications. Richard speaks frequently on a broad range of topics including: the future of work, communication, technology, the war for talent, motivation, gender at work, working time, knowledge management, leadership, learning at work, welfare, politics and corporate social responsibility. In the first year of the Labour Government, Richard worked a principal policy adviser to the Minister for Welfare Reform and has also been a research fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research, one of the UK's premier think-tanks. He holds a first-class degree from Oxford.
